Cuomo has signed invoice for less than two hours after voting, so same-sex couples can marry in New York for 30 days. 53-year-old Democrat made a marriage, the equality of the three priority areas in its first six months. "It was a historic period of progress on all fronts," said Cuomo. "We really did what we said we would do."

Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut, marriage licenses to the issue of same-sex couples, like Washington, DC, according to the Washington-based Campaign for Human Rights, which advocates equal rights gay, bisexual and transgender people.
