Cartier Jewelry At least five people were killed Saturday as tornadoes ripped through North Carolina, bringing the death toll from a string of three days of storm already blamed for killing 17 in the Midwest and South.

The roofs were torn, shops, trees, expelled from the country and "score" of homes were damaged around the North Carolina Emergency Management Director Doug Hoell said. Tens of thousands are without electricity on Saturday night.

Raleigh Police evacuated residents of a mobile park and rescue workers went door to door in search of injured or trapped by the storm that turned into a mobile home across the street another.

The areas most affected were the South Saunders Street, near West Boulevard and Interstate 40, the mobile home park Stony Brook, near Trawick Road, Shaw University, the surrounding neighborhoods, and areas near Buffalo and New Road Hope Road and Yonkers.

Two storm-related deaths occurred near Elizabethtown, North Carolina, according to emergency services Bladen County. Another was reported in Bladenboro, The Weather Channel reported.
